Minimal stats project (LoB) : 6 multi-class gnomes

YigorYigor Member Posts: 921
All characters should have minimal (officially required) stats ! 😉

Here's my awesome badass 😜 team of 6 lawful evil gnomes:

Gnomkin, fighter/illusionist, 9/16/8/9/2/3, ninjato/wakizashi+, crossbow++, sword'n'shield+
Mina1, fighter/cleric, 9/3/8/7/9/3, hammer+, sling++, sword'n'shield+
Mina2, fighter/thief, 9/9/8/7/2/3, long sword+, longbow++, sword'n'shield+
Mina3, illusionist/thief, 6/16/8/9/2/3, short sword+, short bow+, unlock: 60
Mina4, cleric/illusionist, 6/16/8/9/9/3, staff+, sling+
Mina5, cleric/thief, 6/9/8/7/9/3, club+, sling+.

Familiar: Imp with polymorphing ability. 👾

Initially useful combat spells: Command, Blindness. 🙈

    The beginning is actually easy. Useful tactics: blind your enemy, knock it down with Command and bombard it with arrows/bolts/bullets. 🏹

    Imp, polymorphed into Mustard Jelly, is a good bait. 🪤

    Principal issue at level 1: low admissible weight (50 lbs for STR=9 and 30 lbs for STR =6). 😼

    Why so few Fighters? I mean, obviously you're not going for powergaming here, but I should think that even if you're running a 'handicap' game, minimal stats would be enough of a handicap. You don't need to compound the problem by making the party only 25% Warrior, and investing proficiencies into something as useless as Sword & Shield.

    As for armor, you'll have to get by with spells for now (no Spirit Armor for you, though), and/or tolerate your Tank always being Encumbered. You can use Baeloth's, but only once your party is high-level enough to "summon" him.

    Thanks for your comments! I've just taken all possible multi-class combinations available for gnomes. 😎

    There are 3 fighters, it's enough, no? In my gameplay, the beginning is just ranged battles vs blinded enemies. 🙈 Melees are too risky and all melee proficiencies are almost useless (at the moment). 😼

    Fighter/cleric, fighter/thief and cleric/thief now use light armors. Later I will use spells boosting their STR. 💪

    Current status: about 2000 xp for everybody (but still of level 1/1), approaching Nashkel. There I will get 1 Ankegh armor! 🛡️

    Eeeehhhh. In a party of true-classed characters, half the party being Warriors would be enough . . . but you've got half the party being half Warriors. You can get by, at least for now, but as the game goes on, the difference is going to get bigger & bigger. The last time I ran a Multiplayer game, my entire party was Multiclasses too, only I had every character be a Multiclassed Warrior. But if that's not your bag, if you'd rather go with a "Every flavor of Evil Gnome Multiclass," I'm sure you can make that work.

    Current status: chapter 3 near Nashkel ; levels 2/2, 2/3, 3/2 and 3/3 with 6000+ xp for everybody. 😉

    Hold Person (2nd level priest) spell makes many combats easier! 😎
