Want (need) a new setting

Something which is desperately needed (at least for NWN 1 EE) is an option to "never switch targets on an AOO."
Currently, if your character gets an Attack Of Opportunity, they instantly switch their main target to whatever they took the AOO on. Most of the time, this is NOT what you want to happen. Most of the time, you want your character to just take the AOO and then go straight on to the target you originally designated. The only time you wouldn't want this to happen is if your character didn't yet have an assigned target when given the AOO.
Can we get the game changed to incorporate this badly needed change?

And I agree that Circle Kick also needs to avoid switching targets. Both should work like an AOO in D&D where it's just an attack in passing, not a forced target change.
And that's one solid reason why the current mechanic makes no real sense: It doesn't work that way in D&D, and so far as I know, it never has worked that way in D&D. It's always supposed to have been just a once-off attack, not a change of target.
And if you like the way it forcibly switches your target, then just don't use the option to disable that game mechanic, presuming it's provided.
