I finished BGEE and started SoD. You mention that Ophysia can be recruited from the city of Baldur's Gate. I talked to her in Iron Throne building and she told me that she has enlisted and we'll meet later.
I completely missed her in the morning and saw her only in the camp. There she won't initiate dialogue. She is there and I can click and try to talk to her but she won't answer.
I reloaded and was able to recruit her in the morning, right before leaving the city. Still, I suppose she should be able to say something in the camp even if she wasn't recruited in the previous scene.

You're welcome. I'd appreciate it if you commented why I didn't see any npc-Ophysia banters in BGEE. I described this in the previous page of this thread.
Also: Now that I've started SoD I've actually had some NPC-Ophysia banters, at least with Viconia and Corwin. They appear in this "text over the head of sprites" form and don't pause the game. I suppose this is how it's meant to be.
There are some spelling errors that I'd like to show (one in Charname-Ophysia and one in Viconia-Ophysia):
Okay, this is a strange bug: Ophysia just dies. It's right after I defend the camp against waves of crusaders and talk to Ophyllis. Here's what happens:
Ophyllis is injured, he talks to charname
The conversation goes normally
Ophysia gets the last word in it "Betting on dog races..."
The conversation ends
Ophysia drops dead right away
Ophyllis does not die, he can be talked to again
The sword he's supposed to give to charname is somehow now in the pile of equipment Ophysia left behind.
