Hey everyone, just making a new thread so that it is easier for people to find the downloads for the mod, as Vanatos is afk.

We're trying to get setup on Github, but for the time being, the website has been moved here: https://www.israelbarbuzano.net/imoen/

Github setup, mod can be found here: https://github.com/Mirrabbo/Imoen-Romance-Mod

Installation note I found from Vanatos re install order:
Vanatos wrote:
The mod should be installed after any mod that modifies Imoen dialogue (specifically after any mod that has Imoen Force-Talk functionality), but before any New Npc Mods (because of solar end talk).

Glad to see you're keeping the mod alive! May I ask what the rationale behind some decisions from the changelog is? ("Remove quarrel dialogues & Aerie specific ending")

Unfortunately I'm not certain myself, as I don't really have a history of all the changes (the perils of no real source control). It's likely that with primary author changing hands, they felt the original direction wasn't how they felt things would have unfolded. All I can really do is speculate sorry, if I had v3.9.9 and v4.0.0, I could have had a look through the differences, and given a better response.

Regarding the deleted dialogues, I asked Elyon, who was coding the mod at the time, about this in 2020. He replied with this, after which he restored the deleted dialogues. If I understand correctly, they should be available now.
It was simply deleted at some point due to a misunderstanding and then reinstated. This has nothing to do with the author's position on the texts.

I check every now and then, didnt know the website went down. The sourcecode is actually hosted in a github privately, but i dont mind Mirabbo hosting it publicly.

Oh, thanks guys, that is good to know. We wanted to get it on Github so it was more accessible (especially if the website hosting it went down, and then no one could access it).

I wanted to give some suggestions for the plot. In particular, I think the early dreams, before you have Imoen longer term in your party (I'm being vague for spoiler reasons), I think everything would be better if all references to kissing and love would be removed.

    Why?

    - The direct reference to "love" and the kisses seem on the nose, unsubtle, and hammy, and not necessarily in a good kind of way. The rest of the scenes with the flashbacks are kind of interestingly written, so this doesn't do them any good.

    - It mismatches how Bioware romances usually work, including the original ones back in BG2. Because typically no truly romantic action that goes this far would happen, before the player has even indicated if they want to lock in the romance or not.

    - I understand that one of the later dreams tries to fix this by suggesting it's all not real and possibly influenced by Irenicus anwyay. However, while I think that's a cool nod that you should keep, I don't think it fixes the too on the nose kissing and "love" references because the overall tone of them and the music is clearly presenting them as genuine. There is not much of suspenseful music, not much ambiguity, and instead of trying to toe that line I would suggest just removing the over the top actions entirely.

    - Alternatively, make the "love" remarks and kisses depending on some sort of opt-in of the player into a clear romantic interest. However, since the dreams entirely depend on the player being silent and passive, which I think is a cool idea, I don't think this would work as well either since it would kind of break that rule.

    - And perhaps it's just me, but I also felt like the part where they're teens and then stressing the beauty of Imoen in that framing of them as teens was a little unnecessary. I would rather focus the writing on other qualities of Imoen for the teen scenes, because that gives you more room in general to be over the top with the romance arc without wading into territory that people may find weird. I'm not saying it's not possible to make that work, but I'm saying the mod already has enough other angles to try to make work. (Yes, like the other controversy of this mod that comes in later on, with the revelations around Imoen of the base plot, for example.)

I hope some if this is helpful! I think it's a great mod and thank you for working on it.
