HLAs in ID:EE vs BG2:EE

Are BG2:EE High Level Abilites normally achievable in ID:EE in equivalent level? If no - what would happen if i import 25 Lvl character to BG2? Will it get back the skipped HLEs? And what if i import BG2 character with HLAs to ID:EE ? Will he loose them?

I'm playing Dwarf Defender. Finished BG1:EE, imported to ID:EE and i'm below 3.000.000 exp so i want to know should i stop progressing now or i loose some HLAs when importing to BG2:EE

In Iwd:ee there is no HLA, so in term of usability, yes U will loose HLA.
Imported 25 lvl character will have reduced experience (to around 500 000 pts,and also levels) i supposed. U will need to choose again proficiences.

IWDEE has no HLAs. Never tried importing characters from BG to IWD games (never knew that you could). There is a mod that allows HLAs in IWDEE. Morpheus' Skills and Abilities, but it requires LeUI. Works well for the stock HLAs (and Morpheus' own HLAs) but mod added HLAs may have problems (Rogue Rebalancing, Refinements, Bardic Wonders, etc.).

well the HLAs are in IWDEE, they are just "disabled" via the .2da files, so if you imported a character from bg2 and if the engine allows the file to import, than that character should still have their abilities, i made a mod years ago where i gave enemies HLA abilities and they worked just fine

although i do not know if you can import characters from the BG series to IWD and vice versa, plus items that dont match in either game will not transfer over either

but if you transfer your character with no items it might work

plus in IWDEE there is a level cap as apposed to an XP cap ( which there also it, but i forget what it is for a single level character its 15 million XP ) and level 30 is the xp cap limit for IWDEE, if you import a character higher than 30, it might lower back down to 30 because the default .2da files do not support levels above 30, although since you cannot grow levels above 30, you might be stuck at whatever 30+ level you are at when you import

now if the engine allows you to import an IWDEE character into the BG2EE any level that you are pass a "HLA" ability level will be lost for a HLA, although if you are level 30, and pass the XP mark to "grow to a higher level" - say a level 30 fighter with 7 million XP - then you could level up in BG 2 to level 36 and grab 6 HLA, if your IWDEE character has more than 8 million XP and you import over to BG2EE their XP will be lowered to 8 million
