Greetings, Beamdog Forums!
Hello,
I’ve got some good news! I have been disabled for years but I’m in the process of getting much better. In 2003 I shattered completely and have been picking up the pieces a little at a time ever since. But through hard work and a fighter’s heart I am doing much better. I have not gotten off disability yet, but my condition is improving so well I hope to be off in a few years.
One of the ways I know I am better is that I am playing Baldur’s Gate 2, something I have not been able to do for decades. I have not played a computer game of any sort since 2003. I not only had to learn to play this game again, but I had to learn how to play all games again. I simply had lost that much
However, after an extensive and embarrassing series of restarts I finally feel I have this game under control, which is in and of itself a major victory.
I have a lot of questions. I look forward to meeting and interacting with you all. Also, I’ve never posted to a message board before. If I make a faux pas please let me know and I’ll fix it.
Thanks!

Good luck and quick recovery! 🍀
I tried BG1 but ever since I started playing PnP D&D in the 1980s I have always thought the real enjoyment started at levels 6-7, that the first few were always more about survival than fun. I’ve always found BG2 to be the perfect starting place for me.
However my brother always said BG1 was his favorite, so you’re in good company!
