Undoing NPC Experience matching in BG2?

Hi all, let me start with the fact I'm not a modder and I'm not looking to become one. I'm just trying to figure out how to accomplish a particular end with the tools/mods available. I often use EEKeeper and have CDTweaks and SCS installed. So ideally those are the things I want to work with.
I'm an old (emphasis on *old*!) PnP guy, who probably spent more time DMing than playing. Which often shapes my view on things.
As it currently stands, I dislike a lot of the way experience matching works. I'm fine with Imoen, Minsc and Jaheira first joining up with about the same experience I have. In most cases they were my team through BG1, so its fitting we're all in about the same place. And many of the characters we meet, from Yoshimo to Keldorn, Valygar, Mazzy, etc Come from adventuring sorts of bckgrounds and are also appropriate to come with a fair amount of exp.
But Aerie? I love her character, and I almost always take her. But I wish she came with *much* less starting experience. She's been a slave in a circus! Maybe a little exp if we assume she'd had time for study, and maybe worked as the circus medic? But I'd call that maybe 6000 exp. Its NOT a big balance thing! She will rocket up levels with a higher level party. But I want her to do that WITH her team, not come to us a high level character!
Similarly, I think Imoen should not gain a single experience point for the time she's apart from us. Not one, she's in a cell or being experimented on.
What really made a thing of this was recruiting Skie (using Skie: Cost of One Girl's Soul). To my mind, Skie should have like 3000 exp. But she shows up with 890K!
I used to fix all this with EEKeeper. But now, I think its a setting on SCS (?), won't let me edit excessive experience down.
So what I'm asking is, what is the most efficient way to have this sort of control? Do I shut off all the NPC adjustments from SCS (and Tweaks?) and do it all with EEKeeper? Is there a better solution to get everything just the way I want?

You asked if you would need to deactivate NPC adjustments from Tweaks (Anthology) as well? To be honest, there should not be one XP module you could have chosen, if memory serves. Yes, there is the component "TOB styles NPCs", but that is already build in your BG2EE. So it is only used for some select NPCs added by mods. I am not sure, but my guess is this one won't interfere with your EEKeeper activities.
Hm, now there should be an alternative that you asked for (not entirely sure though):
You could set Aeries XP via the in-game Clua-Console, once you activated it (just google if you are not used to it). The catch: You would probably need to kill Aerie with Cntrl-Y afterwards, because you would need to adjust her already given stats as well after that XP change. After you killed her use raise-dead-spell. You can bring up a raise-dead scroll via the Console, if you want to. When reborn she should be fine and behave like a real 6,000 XP girl. Now, will this way prevent the "NPC Management" from SCS? I guess it should. But I have never tried that myself.
So I'll plan on that in the future.
