Crash at startup? This works for me

Hi!

I have a laptop with integreted intel-graphics. By turning of the intro movie in the Balder.ini-file I got it working.

Find your Baldurs Gate folder in My Documents. Open the Balder.ini-file and change

'MOVIES', 'INTRO', '0'

Hope it works!

But it seems that it doesn't work all the time, but more often.

    But!

By changing the value back to 1 it still works as often as changing it to 0. But I still have no intro!

    This is random...

Conclussion, it's the intro cinematics that mess things up.

Does your .ini keeps the movies intro 0 after starting. Cause when i start the game, the intro movie still starts and reverts the 0 back into a 1.

If this is true you've made a golden discovery here... (not that I have any reason to suspect you're lying, of course.) What OS / other specs are you running?

Now it seems totally random for me!

By changing it to 0 it doesn't work for me now, but having the value as 1 it does work.

It does not change back to 1 for me.

I run windows7 and start it through launcher with Admin and in Vista compability.

MY CONCLUSSION! It works for me everytime it skips the intro!
