Try googling Peter North. But with safesearch on. Or without it on, depending what mood you're in.

    LOL

"You just don't know the subtleties of wood and wood-related activities. These creatures are docile and... and it is worth the risk. Um... even the darkest of caves can be a rewarding experience for the woodsman that knows how to handle himself. Why, um... subterranean trees can yield the best material for carving... ah, ornamental... things."

"I have worked long and hard to gain their trust"

"Alrighty then, I shall leave you to your work. Far be it from me to get between a man and his wood... so to speak."

    Here's a tip:

One of Peter (of the) North's nick names is Sir Cumalot.

I did not know this before. Really.

I'm not sure what you mean, but Peter of the North is a person.

@Wilbur Tsk. Tsk. I see we skipped the "classical literature" proficiency to pick the, how shall we say, "significantly less classy literature" proficiency. I refer, of course, to the classic tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table who dwell in the castle of Camelot. Obviously this is the source of the aforementioned pun.

    *sigh* The youth of today...

Oh you were referring to the nickname. I'm not sure if your trying to be funny, I know the tale. I just didn't get it.

I'm not sure I consider myself the youth of today being over 30.

In my experience, "classical" literature usually means boring old sh-aving cream... (be nice and clean..)

Well. BG does have a tremendous amount of shot outs to other games/shows/comics/literature/films and whatnot.
Those that come to mind are
    - Michael Palin's expy (of Monty Python)
    - Snikt Bub (Wolverine)
    - Peter of the North (porn)
    - Kivan is most definitely Dirty Harry
-Ajantis sounds too much like Sturm of Dragonlance saga
    ... I could continue...

... oh damn, there is a whole page about these on tvtropes.org
And I'm fairly sure it's just a fragment of them...

@Quartz I excel at bad jokes. Of course now I learn that I am actually younger than @Wilbur and he knew the story and just didn't get my reference. Honestly I am really out of my element here.

One of the items added by Unfinished Business for BG2 was Boots of the West, which supposedly belonged to a man named Randy of the West - same basic joke, different actor.

Being old doesn't matter as long as you are rich, (I keep telling myself).

So I have 6 more years to get rich.

    I don't consider myself old either :D

With my job I think I have to find some other levels of richness than wealth.
