Monk doesn't benefit from boots of speed

    From 5th level onwards, monks cannot be slowed or hasted.

    No haste effect/icon/quick movement/more attacks. Nothing at all.

    Have you checked his level? Monks are immune to haste at level 5.

    Ahhh. But the boots are not supposed to give haste now are they? They should give a movement bonus though which SHOULD stack with monk speed. It does in BG2 I'll have you know. Since this is in this section of the forums I would like to bring this fact to the attention of @Jalily just to make sure this is a known fact for the next patch.
