Returning to Durlag's Tower

I bailed during Durlag's Tower because I was just scraping through it and wanted to level up a bit more. I was past the Chess Game (ouch) and I took the ghost of Islanne's offer to get me outta there, assuming that I could go back. Perhaps that was a mistake, since I can't re-trigger being teleported to the Chess board again. I see some threads on Google that imply it's possible to return to the 4th floor after leaving, but the links to some guide people refer to is dead. Any ideas?

    Reenter one of the four elemental rooms to get teleported to the chess board.

    Its possible, just no short-cuts to that level, you need to walk back down

    What @Jalily said. Go into one of the elemental rooms where you fight the polar bear/phoenix guards/fission slime/invisible stalkers and you'll get automatically teleported to the chessboard. I had to leave to empty my inventories and can confirm that it still works in BG:EE.
