Before I even think of buying Baldur's Gate EE online, I have to ask this:

Will it be permanently stuck on the computer? Because reason I ask because I would want to move the game onto my computer since I'm not the one paying for it.

( I miss the old days when it was never this complicated for computer games).

You can download it whereever you want it, as many times as you want it.
So it should be no problem. The Savegames are also transferrable.

The updater has DRM, the game does not. The DRM is unlimited activations, really there to authenticate your game to connect to Beamdog for updates, and possibly track activations amounts of pirated copies.

I'm going to reiterate what others said because it is so awesome and important.

This game works like the old days that you mention. Download it infinite times, to as many different computers as you want.

How old are the "old days"? I seem to remember having to jump through an infinite amount of hoops to run certain games on my Commodore 64.
