Can't Play After 2/14 Steam Update

Anyone else having this problem? When I click 'Play' it gets hung-up trying to 'perform first time set up. ' I created a seperate support account 3 days ago and still haven't heard back from a different non-technical issue. And to post on the Steam forums I need a 3rd account, which is completely absurd. So frustrated. It does seem others are having trouble but not in an overwhelming way. Anyone in the know? How about a phone number for Steam? Thanks.

    I found a work-around. If I verify the file integrity during the set-up process, the game will start. Still no response from Steam support. I don't think I'll ever buy a game from them again.
