So whilst wandering the Candlekeep catacombs, Baeloth surprised me by saying

"If I recall correctly, it's "Rock crushes lizard", I won't forget that one again."

Anyone know what this is a reference to? Seems rather random. given the scenery...

    It's in the catacombs because its a reference to the basilisks

    I think it is great that in BG:EE they have slipped in the same kind of popular culture references that were to be found throughout the original game.
