Wizard Slayer doesn't cause spell casting failure on ranged attacks.

The Kit says that they cause failure on every hit, not every melee hit.

    @Jalily

    Can you change the description?

    @Tanthalas Yes, updated "hit" to "melee hit." :)

    I'd like to file this one under further discussion, as I think there's a plausible case to be made for miscast on ranged attacks.

    The good news is that the BG2 Fixpack has an optional-but-cool component that provides this, if you've got mods working on your install.

    IMHO it gimps the class. You still have to get through a ton of the defenses of a mage before you can hit them.

    The Kit is gimped anyway, so unless it gets redone a bit ...

    According to http://www.nj-pbem.com/adnd/tsr2148-Complete-Barbarian-Handbook.pdf page 50 (The source of the kit), the kit should have some other useful abilities rather than just "miscast magic" / some magic resist / can't use a single magic item.
    It should actually be able to detect illusion like a thief twice a day, detect alignments, should have an aura of protection vs evil, and so on.

    Kit description has been updated long time ago. Wizard Slayer causes spell casting failure *only* with melee attacks.
