HP and Dual Classing

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
Here is the example

Level 9 Fighter with 18 Con (4 bonus HP per level). Dual classes into Druid. Druid makes it to level 10 and then finds a Con Tome. But Druids are limited to 2 bonus HP/lvl max. Would the extra con grant 1 HP to the levels already gained through Kensai? Or will it simply have no affect?

    Constitution bonuses are retroactive, so you will get 9 extra HP for your fighter levels.

    @Jalily 's right, the CON hp's are retroactively added for any fighter levels you have immediately

    Remember that when shorty's increase their CON's, the saving throw bonuses are not added until your next level up. That's the only effect I'm aware of that takes a level-up to kick in.
