HI, I saw the page to insert the custom portraits to the NPC who join the party, but what are the codes to be entered to customize the npc also important non-player characters and enemies as Sarevok, etc ...?

For recruitable NPCs and individuals who already have portraits (e.g. Irenicus, Bodhi, the Five), you add appropriately-sized portraits with their names into the override folder. For example, to override Edwin's portraits in BG1, you add the correctly sized .bmps called 'EdwinL' 'EdwinM' and 'EdwinS' into the override folder. This works for all NPCs with portraits, assuming you have the right names (for example, Montaron is 'Montar' and Shar-Teel is 'Shartel'

For other NPCs it gets trickier. You can do it by modifying the .cre files in Near Infinity, adding the portraits manually to each character. I sometimes do this with important people in BG1: Gorion, Sarevok, Tamoko.

@Asher. You might find this web page useful. It gives you the spelling necessary for the portraits of each of the NPCs that you could recruit in BG1 or BG2. The new NPCs in BGEE are not included but you could figure those out from the basic structure of the others.

    Buona fortuna con i ritratti.

I just have a guess, but since Sarevok can be brought into the party in ToB, the creation of the alternative portrait must be similar to that of the NPC party portraits in the rest of BG.

So I would try SarevokL , SarevokM and SarevokS.

The portrait that you want could be opened in Paint, resized L(210x330), M(169,266), L(54x84) , and saved in your Portraits file as a bitmap.

@franco great show, too bad rosetti won't be back... He was just getting interesting (except I found relations with opposite sex pretty off putting and different from his character's other actions)

@Asher. When you solve the problem of posting portraits of non normal NPCs such as Sarevok to your satisfaction, then I hope you post the final solution that worked here. All the best.

Sarevok probably needs the glowing eyes, though.

@Iecerint. I agree with you. In the portrait without the glowing eyes he looks pretty weak, just about ready for retirement.

As you get deeper into retirement and some infirmity, I've heard you start reflecting on life and wondering, "What the hell was that all about?"
