I downloaded it, and copied the override folder into SteamApps, Common, BGEE, BGEE (in the files) and restarted the game, adn the XP cap is still there. Did I miss someting?
When you open up Windows Explorer, in the left hand side column go Libraries->Documents->My Documents (the path is actually C:\Users\whateveryouruserIDis\Documents). In there you should find a Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition folder with the Override folder in it.
I went to C:\Users\whateveryouruserIDis\Documents)., found the BGEE folder, copied the Override in into ity (It wasnt there on its own, I had to put it there) and still the XP cap isnt gone ;_;
Hmm... I used the method in that thread and it worked for me. In fact I actually raised the XP cap instead of simply removing it, so that required an extra step. I can't remember if I did anything special, it was quite a while ago.
@Awong124 that's the wrong path. It's C\program files (x86)\Beamdog\games\00766\override or C\program files (x86)\BG:EE\00766\override
You may need to create an override folder if there is not one already.
He got his from Steam, so I assumed the Steamapps folder he originally tried corresponded with the program files directory of the non-Steam versions. So Steam creates 3 directories for the game (Steam, program files, My Documents)?
Figured it out guys I put it in Steamapps, common, BGEE, BGEE, when it should have been in Steamapps, common, BGEE. Not the second BGEE. Now I will just edit it to what I want ( I accidentally made it 100, so I was a lvl 9 sorc with 100 xp xD)
