I can't reproduce this effect, on Linux or Windows, with the compiled or script version, with or without batch processing, or with command line.
Do you see this effect all the time ? With certain pictures ?

How about a command line like this :
BGPyrtraits.exe width height suffixe inputfolder outputfolder
    More convenient and versatile !

Sorry I can't help you more.

    Edit:
Here is a totally new version of the cmd line processing. I rewrite some code, I hope it will be better.
Usage is described here : https://github.com/Vagdish/BGPyrtraits
download of the exe is here : http://www.filedropper.com/bgpyrtraits12
I removed old cmd options, Only the one described is available.

    Keep me aware.

    @Vagdish I'll give it a shot...

EDIT: It does seems to be working now.. Does it only work with folders or can you specify one file or use masks and stuff?

I'm tweaking the program. You'll be able to specify file or folder for the input argument. But I think I'll stay with ouputfolder only for the output argument. It's far more easier for me.

Is this a trouble ? It implies that you can't rename the files while resizing them.

    @smeagolheart
    Here it is : http://www.filedropper.com/bgpyrtraits12_1

You can input a file or a folder. But output is always folder.

None of the filedropper links work for me =/ Could you upload the exe to a different host?
Edit: Nevermind, got it to work using pyton, thanks for the script Vagdish!

Indeed, if you install Python 3.3 and Pillow, You can make it work from the source.

Github just launched binary hosting for releases. I'll look at it to host the exe without fearing to get the links down.

    Sorry for the bump.
Here is what may be the last release. It seems bugs free, and can be used by modders with a versatile command line. It's also hosted on github thanks to their new release system.

    Any feedbacks are always welcome:

    Hi!

Yesterday evening I discovered the tool you made and "thanks to" you and this wonderful thread (http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/11758/ladyrhian-s-too-many-pictures-for-any-thread/p1), I spent my entire evening making portraits ^^

So thanks a lot for sharing this with us :)

    Hey guys !

I created a small tools to make cropping and resizing of portraits for BG:EE easier.
Just open a file, select the zoom (with scrollwheel) and the cropping position (with mouse drag) and save it. The name will be formatted for BG:EE, as well as the image format. You can have different cropping positions and zoom sets for the three different sizes.

I also added a batch processing. Select an input and output folder, and the job will be done for any picture file found in the input folder (and subfolder).

It's written in Python, the GUI with Tkinter, and I use Pillow for image manipulation.

The source code is here : https://github.com/Vagdish/BGPyrtraits
You can run the source code with proper installation of Python 3.3 and Pillow 2.0.0.

I Freezed the app for those who doesn't want to install Python :
    (see under)
Feel free to duplicate the zip file in other file hosters.

    Unzip and launch the .exe.

Feedback are more than welcome on the thread (or on the github page).

Edit:// There was a bug preventing from opening jpeg picture. It's now solved.

Edit:// Here is the last version of the software: https://github.com/Vagdish/BGPyrtraits/releases/1.01/2573/BGPyrtraits-1.01.zip

Thank you so much for this tool!

This is an amazingly handy program, you deserve SO much more love for this. :O

Edit: I skimmed this thread and didn't see anything but is there a version of IWD/IWD2? Can it do that at the moment?

Also curious, could this program be modified for use with Pillars of Eternity?

This is a very slick mod. Resizing 20 images or so in about 10 seconds? HELL YES!
