Just curious but how are you steam bound? Mac I get, but I am not sure I follow when a PC user couldn't order directly from Beamdog (and put more money in the hands of the people who actually developed the enhanced edition).
basically i only order my games from two sources, Gog.com or steam. if its not available on those platforms i dont want it.
What is the difference from downloading BG2EE from Beamdog or downloading it from Gog.com? I understand a philosophy that you want to encourage companies that do things you like (as in Gog keeping old games alive, etc.) but isn't that exactly what Beamdog is doing here?
I wouldn't order this on any platform other than straight from Beamdog because I want to encourage them and other developers to undertake projects like this and if everyone bought this through Steam then the project would be a failure because the revenues wouldn't support the work for Beamdog.

Other than that I don't see many valid excuses =P
