Rasaad stuck at "Do you seek enlightenment" [quest not progressing]

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
He keeps bringing up the same dialog about how he joined the monastery and how his brother chased those guys.

What needs to happen for his quest to progress? Later chapters? (I have yet to do bandit camp, scouring the countryside instead.)

    yes later chapter (chapter five docks area at night) The problem is he should not repeat this dialog

    Same problem here. For me it happens each time I ressurect him (because he, well... dies... sometimes... okay all the time).

    The second I leave the temple services screen he starts to whine about enlightenment.

    So it's not a problem i just need to bear with it until I reach BG?

    yes the res can be the point here. probably it works similar to rejoining party member - dialogs are reinitialized then

    @OperativeNL buy him the amulet of shielding in nashkel carnival. With gauntlets of dexterity and active shield spell Rasaad becomes quite potent tank. Just remember to recharge it by selling to vendors.

    And yes you must wait until chapter five
