I have to agree, James Earl Jones as Sarevok would be the perfect pick ;) Fabio as the bhaalspawn and Rowan Atkinson as Khalid, i would totally buy that. Schwarzenegger as "Jon Icarus" and Walken and Sam Jackson in support roles.

There has to be a part in this film somewhere for Nathan Fillion, there just has to be, but I'm damned if I can think what.

Oh, wait, I have it! Khalid, he would be awesome as Khalid! I guess that would make Stana Katic Jaheira.

Can I just ask who in the nine realms Tamoko and Sajantha are?! O.o

(Tamoko rings bells but I don't recall either from the BG series...)

    @Icecreamtub
Tamoko is a character from Baldur's Gate 1. She is Sarevok's lover and tries to hinder you from killing him.
Sajantha is, like I already mentioned, Artastrophe's Bhaalspawn.

How about Jack Gleeson as Saemon Havarian. Just because he can play completely dispisable douchebags so very very well. (I know he is to young but still. He would *own* that role).

I'm pretty sure he plans to retire from acting after Game of Thrones, though. Too bad, really, but he feels that he can't really deliver any other roles because of the associations people will have to Joffrey.

Everyone's first instinct is to talk cast... why?

Because obviously this is never going to happen. No one ever will (or even should) make a BG movie/TV series, so this is just a fun way to find actor look-a-likes.
Well, maybe someone should. A good director would be one who's played the game a lot and knows the lore, lingo and possibly the mod characters.

Speaking of mod characters, nobody ever tries to cast them. WHY?!

    Kelsey or Shit... erm, Saerileth.

Maybe we should stick to good mods only. Either way, if I were director I'd totally use some mod characters to promote them. It's not like they're copywritten.

I was thinking Dakota Fanning in a black wig... but that works. It'd still be a satisfying use of Flesh to Stone... the audience will love it.

@Ryofu I would disagree with The Wheel of Time being made into movies, unless it was run like A Song of Ice and Fire is.

Alan Rickman as Irenicus. (He does lawful evil so well)

Second choice for Irenicus would be Hugo Weaving.

    Ian McShane as Keldorn.

oooohhh Hugo Weaving is a decent choice. Still prefer Jason Isaacs over everyone.

    Ian McShane??? Hello foul-mouthed Korgan

Hmmm, mod characters... these are hard, cause they often have multiple portraits to choose from.
Whích reminds me: Heath Ledger as Ajantis because you can give Ajantis his face with the romance mod.
(Brace yourselfs. "Heath Ledger is dead and therefor can't play the role" comments are coming.)

We have Rods of Resurrection for that.

I feel very strongly that the estate of Vincent Price should rally to bring him back using a recompiled voice out of old sound clips and CGI. Really, it seems appropriate for him to return from the grave.

Speaking of which... give the reanimated Vincent Price a cameo role in the film/series, such as Davaeorn.

Well, Ajantis is dead too, so it might not be such a bad casting decision.

In support of my campaign to have Nathon Fillion cast a Khalid, I give you...

    Khalid

    Nathan

Nathan Fillion should play like half the characters in this game, lol

How about he plays all the roles.
ALL OF THEM. AT THE SAME TIME.

    You're thinking of Peter Sellers.

    Jorge Garcia, as Winthrop.

There has to be the fantastic line of "My hotel's as clean as an elven arse!" which has somehow made me laugh many times upon returning to the game.

Remember, it's not all about just looking the part. With some makeup, you can overcome slight appearance issues. How a character carries themselves and plays the role is important. Some roles require a VERY specific performance type.

For instance, Neil Patrick Harris may be a bit older than Garrick, but he has the proper style of goofy, comedic energy befitting of a foppish bard.
