Khalid "Runs away" when removed

Hi everyone,
not sure if this is a bug or just something i am missing.
I am trying to remove khalid and jaheira temporarily for dorn to finish his quest. When i do, Jaheira says she be happy to join again, but then Khalid just walks away out of the door never to be seen again.

Any ideas why?

    That's lucky, I'd keep Dorn and forget K-k-khalid.

    But it's probably a rep thing. Khalid is Neutral Good, so is more likely to scarper when the rep gets low, whereas Jaheira might hang around longer since she's just Neutral.

    That's lucky, I'd keep Dorn and forget K-k-khalid.

    Dorn is not yet in the party, just want to make space before putting him in so i dont have to go through all the "i dont think this is a good idea" dialogue.

    I just quickly tested it. Having exactly 4 rep will cause Khalid to leave the area without Jaheira.

    So basically what happens -

    I go to the Record screen and Reform Party.
    Remove Khalid or Jaheira
    Jaheira speaks to me and says "I openly question your judgement, but it is your decision to make. You do show some measure of leadership, and i should be glad to assist you in the future. Come Khalid, we must depart for now."

    Upon ending the dialogue, Jaheira stays where she is, and Khalid makes for the nearest exit.
    When i talk to Jaheira again, she joins the party, but Khalid seems to be gone forever.

    Well unless he's wearing the Helm of Opposite Alignment I have no idea...

    This should allow you to keep him...
    Go somewhere with a large room that you wont visit often, like the Friendly Arm Inn.
    Place Khalid in a room somewhere, far away from the group.
    The rest of the party stand near the exit, main char and Jaheira stand together.
    Remove BOTH of them at the same time.
    They'll both want to say goodbye. Let Jaheira say hers, then quickly leave.

    When you return, quickly recruit Jaheira and she'll force Khalid back.

    As long as he doesn't get to say goodbye he can't ever disappear.

    I had that thought just now as well, he still disappeared. Guessing it must be a bug hopefully, i'll post it over there.

    Must be a bug, Only happens inside the FAI building.
    Walking outside and removing him, he stays put.

    Definitely a bug. Happened to me as well. Posted in the bug forum in hopes they figure that one out. Happened to me inside and outside of the FAI though, had to let him go in beregost instead and it was fine.
