xvart quest?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I just saved a cow from being eaten by xvarts. In my journal there is an active quest about a hidden xvart base. Is this new?
Has anyone been able to complete this quest?

    I don't think it's new. But I'm not sure how to complete it, the quest is still active even after I wiped out their base.

    Did you try returning to Hulrik after wiping out the xvarts (the farmer whose cows had been attacked by xvarts)?

    I just gave it a try. All he said was something about being careful in the mountains. The quest is still active.

    This is an existing bug in our tracker (#6993) actually. There's no way to "solve" that quest currently; will look into it.
