My greatest BG2:EE achievement to date! (What's Yours?) [Spoilers]

image

Solo with Dragon Disciple. This was tough and leaves me feeling like I have just done something major in game.

Didn't play the game yet so I can study for my finals! I also feel like i've accomplished something major in self control.

I once killed a dragon in one blow with a quivering palm. I also had Abi Dalzim's Horrid Wilting listed as my character's favorite spell before I could cast level 8 spells.

Your character was *really* looking forward to it.

I spent a looonngggg time buffing the party for the green dragon in watcher keep, cast time stop, walked up to it, lower resistance x4, breech, magic missile x6, acid arrow x5, summon creatures, shapeshift, time stop again, walk up to dragon in mindflayer form, and he goes down in 3 hits. There go all my buffs and spells for the day.

Really though, I feel like my greatest achievement in bg was getting tarnesh at the friendly arm with a level 1, 75 roll, solo jester. It doesn't sound exciting, but it took a long time, and was soooo satisfying when I got him.

Very nice! I'm using a DD right now and might just have to try this.

My greatest achievement to date was probably clearing out a beholder den without Balduran's shield of cheese.
    @Real - LOL!

Wait, this game doesn't even have achievements! So lame!
  • marcerormarceror Member Posts: 577
Oh, wait, you didn't mean those kind of achievements, did you? Well, I did kill this pretty nasty rabbit. Really, he was quite fearsome, and killed many party members. But the Holy Hand Grenade of Athkatla came through in the end.

If nothing else, I did manage to beat Drizzt's party of bullshit in a straight out fight without cheating...

They just eat through my party usually because all of them have like 5+ attacks per round...

Making it out of Irenicus' dungeon before saving my character to "get back to later" while I go off and roll a new one.

I beat them this time by using Dominate on two of Drizzt's friends and having them fight the rest. Catti-Brie and Bruenor will be getting a stern talking to later.

The way I beat Kangaxx :

    1. Summon few Mordenkainen's swords
    2. Use Protection from Undead on them and you
    3. Cast Haste
    4. Wake Kangaxx

Now watch as the horrifying being of undeath experiences final death whilst you eat a sandwich. Damn, that's some fine cheese!

one of my favorite tricks is to kill firkaaga when it is turned into a squirrel: D it never gets old. Of course we have to sweat a little while to achieve this but the satisfaction hmm;)

Haha I tried to polymorph him several times. He has decent saving throws hough so it never worked even with Greater Mallison cast on him. Did it take you a while to get that to work?

As u can tell I buffed like crazy then cast cloud kill after starting the fight then time stop and wore him down with Horrid Wilting and Acid Arrows

If I'm not wrong, Cattie-Brie's bow doesn't inflict any damage at the moment... :/

XD Well when I was younger my biggest achievement was the day I finally defeated Silky in BG1 without her permakilling half my party in the process and Garrik actually surviving the fight (he got killed sometimes due to that EVIL electric spell she just loves to throw around) Of course then half my party got murdered by some random enemies... XD I was absolutely terrible when I first play this game.

But I think my most hilarious achievement was my first character ever who barely managed to survive candlekeep only to be instantly killed by a cutscene as she had a grand total of 1 hp. The next time I dared play a mage she had 18 con.

Hmmm. Guess it was just Bruenor, then. CB was a good distraction, however. That'll teach Drizzt to try and get revenge for me killing him in BG1.

My best ever? So I was in Abazigal's lair, chugging along, just finished the miniquest to make that dragon he has guarding his chamber leave without fighting her. Just for on a whim, as she is walking offscreen after, I have my team take a swing at her. Y'know, just for being rude.

Sarevok lands one single hit, he is using the Ravager halberd, the Vorpal effect activates, the dragon dies.

My one great regret is forgetting to take a screenshot.

I tried that this time except at level 12-13 but i tried to do it without prebuffs, failed miserably like 5x before I gave up, buffed up and took him down with fighter Mage helm of vaillor and imp haste so two 10 par fighters hitting it with pfmw... Also chugged magi and fire potions so he wasn't doing too much to me but he still killed 4 skeletons.

Seems SCS doesn't let you pretrap dragons because dropping a trap seems to agro them....

I did, when I trap the shadow dragon it agroed immediately, I didn't try with Firkraag because I picked the fight immediately option.
