Bg 2 Vanilla Version Fallen Ranger

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I had a beastmaster that just soloed the game in Bg 2 SOA. I am in TOB now and my character is fallen because use of slayer which is crap. My reputation is 6 which must have caused it. Does anyone know how to get it back to regular class? Do I have to invest in a church or temple or something? This is for the base game so anyone that can help would be great.
