Dorn and Rebuke Undead

Major noob question here - despite having played through BG2 multiple times, I've never had a Paladin in the party.

I've just recruited Dorn in BGEE, and he just hit level 2. However, his Rebuke/Turn Undead button doesn't seem to work. I click it, and nothing happens. Viconia's Turn Undead works just fine.

Is there a level requirement for Paladins/Blackguards to use it, am I missing something obvious, or is my game bugged?

    Paladins (and thus Blackguards) are several levels behind Clerics when it comes to Turn Undead and priest spells. I can't remember off the top of my head when they get their turning but I think it's at level 4.

    And when they do get their turning it is also several levels weaker than what a cleric's turning would be. By the time Dorn reaches his maximum level for BG1 he can only just barely gain control of a simple skeleton, while Viconia would probably be able to control things as powerful as ghouls at her maximum level.

    Isn't there a "turn undead level" somewhere in the character sheet?
