BG2 EE: Any Essential Mods?

Hey,
I'm about to start my first playthrough for BG2 EE and am wondering if there are any mods out there that you consider essential to have. I played through BG1 EE with the BG1 NPC Mods as well as a couple of GUI mods but that was about it. I've looked at the list of available mods but they all seem overly specific and am not sure which ones are worth installing. I am generally looking for something like the BG1 NPC mod (except for BG2). I've also taken a look at the BG2 Tweak Pack, but have no idea which of those "sub-mods" a first time player should install. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For your first playthrough of BG2:EE I advice NOT to install any mods. Try the game as it is. You have to understand how the game works in order to be able to take pleasure from mods in the future.
After your playthrough you can try some mods. I advice SCS (http://www.gibberlings3.net/scs/) and BG2 Tweaks (http://www.gibberlings3.net/bg2tweaks/).
