Gnomes are in DnD Next - I was never worried *phew!*

The DnD site has had a major uplift recently. And to my relief found this.

http://dnd.wizards.com/dungeons-and-dragons/what-is-dnd/races/gnome

I found this and tried to google+ the gnomes, but so spanking new a webpage, couldn't get it to work :(

Unfortunately, they haven't held back the awesome power of the Gnome... I think this page relates to the release of the missing races...

If this is true... Well, you pansy elves are in for a (shin) kicking.

The blog article is from last June, I think they've been iterated in playtest since then. That said there was no danger of there not being Gnomes in-game, just when they were going to release them.

So, Jansen's descendants will roam the Relams? Scary.

    Another thing I noticed there... HALF-ORCS! :o

And it looks like Tielflings still look like those degenerated Cambions from 4th edition... preposterous!

    Good.

Always good to have a PC along with you to have for a snack.

I hit the like button as it was the. Nearest button to dislike...

    A SNACK!

Everyone knows a Gnome is a quintessential meal. A veritable delicacy on the palette!

    And we run damn quick!

(Plus we have long use by dates...)

Gnomes are in the PHB, yeah. So are half-orcs, and the 4th Ed Tieflings and dragon-dudes.

I think you mean second best race ever after 4E genasi.

Serious. I pretty much always play a human, genasi, or tiefling in D&D, particularly the latter two in 4E.

Acht, we'd be boring if we were all the same.

I know I'm pretty much the only guy on here who sings 4E's praises, but acting like my tastes are somehow alien and impossible just kinda makes you look like a jerk.

Anyway, @Anduin, what made you think there wouldn't be gnomes?
  • AnduinAnduin Member Posts: 5,745
The free basic rules available on pdf only included, humans, elves, dwarves and halflings @Schneidend‌ .

    Got me worried :)

I think rulesets are pretty hard to discuss. I admire your courage to say you love 4E!

Ah. Yeah, the basic stuff is pretty limited, from what I hear. I haven't really been following it too much after DMing playtest materials a couple times. The HP and healing struck me as too archaic and unpolished compared to the way 4e handles things. Pathfinder does just fine when I want to play something with more lethality.

Thank you, by the by. I appreciate that.
