IWD NPC for IWD-in-BG2 unused proficiency errors

I thought I would play the IWD in BG2 mod while I wait for IWD:EE. I have never played it until yesterday. So I did a clean install of BG2 (including TOB) and IWD (including HOW and TOTLM). Then I installed the IWD in BG2 mod so I could give a sorcerer a try. I also installed the IWD NPC mod which contains a paladin, fighter (to dual to druid later on), ranger, bard, and fighter-thief. Since I am playing the IWD to BG2 mod the NPCs have an option to have a kit. I left them alone except for the thief who I made a swashbuckler. I started the game and added all five of them, but Most of them have "unused" under one or two proficiencies which makes their THAC0 bad. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how do you fix it?
