Avengers Assemble: How would you make the team?

I'm just about to revisit one of my favorite games of all time: BG2SoA. But this time I wanted to create a group as The Avengers. Before I create each character, I'm curious to know what race, class, alignment, and weapons you think would best match the following characters.

For starters, I added my thoughts; please share yours!

Captain America - Human, Warrior, Lawful Good, Sword & Shield Style (or just shield?).
Thor - Human, Paladin, Neutral Good, Hammer & Single Weapon+
Iron Man - Human, Wizard, Chaotic Good, Fire Spells perhaps?
Hulk - 1/2Orc, Beserker, Chaotic Neutral, Fists???
Hawkeye - Elf, Archer, Lawful Neutral, Bow?
Black Widow - Human, Thief, Pure Neutral, Knife & Dual-wield+?

Thoughts?

    Ironically the Avenger Kit didn't make your list.

    Hawkeye-Archer Kit would probably be the way I'd go. Absolute best with the bow.

    Cap- I'd go Shield using paladin. He's already LG and paladins are inspirational, like Cap is. If it weren't for the race being absolutely wrong, I'd suggest Dwarven Defender.

    Thor- I'd consider going some sort of fighter/Druid. Mostly to have powers like Call Lightning.

    Hulk- Barbarian or Berserker makes sense. Fists wouldnt work without being a monk, so Axes or two handers would probably work (I think he used those in Planet Hulk) Also I'd go Half-Orc so he could be green. :)

    Black Widow- Thief is good. Assassin or Shadowdancer kits would be worth considering.

    Captain America-Human Male Cavalier (immune to lots of stuff) AL LG Str 18/75+ Dex 18 Con 18 Int 13 Wis 16 Cha 18 Sword and shield with a longsword (classic hero weapon)

    Thor-Human Male Inquisitor (he has godly powers that break evil mage's powers and he can't be fooled by illusions) AL LG Str 18/90+ Dex 18 Con 18 Int 12 Wis 15 Cha 16 Warhammer++ Single weapon++ go nuts with lightning hammer Ashideena+2..Fighter/druid is a big no, he can't use hammer if he is a druid!!

    Interestingly, Thor would make a cool Stormlord of Talos-warhammer+armor+lightning powers! But alignment does not fit.

    Iron Man-Human Invoker AL CG Str 15 Dex 16 Con 16 Int 18 Wis 15 Cha 16 Specialises in armor type spells and blaster magics-avid user of wand of fire/lightning.

    Hulk-Half-orc male barbarian AL CN Str 19 Dex 18 Con 19 Int 6 Wis 9 Cha 7 Dual wielding maces/flails to rage and crush enemies to goo.

    Hawkeye-Elf male Archer AL NG Str 18/10 Dex 19 Con 16 Int 12 Wis 14 Cha 10 Longbow++++ Dagger or spear for back up

    Black widow-Elf female Fighter/Thief AL NG Str 17 Dex 19 Con 17 Int 14 Wis 13 Cha 17 Stealth and backstab with shortsword+single weapon. Poison darts for backup.

    Black widow would make a fine monk too, punching kicking/stunning enemies. But you need a thief. Iron man could be a mage/thief then, he is knowledgable in mechanic stuff and can tinker and deactivate traps and the like. Ehh, it is a stretch but you get the idea.

    Captain America: Cavalier, Longsword+Shield. I'd probably give him Haste 1x/day on party as a special ability as well to reflect his leadership role.

    Hawkeye: Elven Archer with 19 dex. Not a whole lot more to say.

    Black Widow: Elven Fighter/Thief. Maybe give her the Assassin's poison ability as a bonus.

    Iron Man: Human Invoker looks good to me. One of the infinite-ammo slings for weaponry. Lots of fireballs and Stoneskins.

    Thor: Half-elf Ranger/Cleric - Did someone ever seem so suited to the Crom Faeyr? Single weapon style, and lots of Call Lightning and Iron Skins memorized. I'd probably want to change the character model to a Human, though.

    Hulk: Half-orc Barbarian seems natural, but we could also explore having him be CHARNAME, where Hulk Form = Slayer change.

    Iron Man definitely needs to be wearing the BMU from the pantaloon quest. Encased in giant metal armor and equipped with a grenade launcher? Pretty sure that's exactly him. I'm also tossing around the idea of starting him off as a thief and sinking all points into find traps and pick locks and dual classing him over to a mage fairly early on. He'll then have his mechanic abilities to pick locks and disarm traps, but he won't really be growing in that area and will instead be gaining spells that allow him to launch fireballs and magic missiles and cast stoneskins.

    Thor being part cleric makes a lot of sense. Not only can you call lightning, but you can also use spells like "Draw Upon Holy Might" which makes sense as far as Thor is concerned.

    I'm also an advocate of making the Hulk the main character. Why? I think wampa has a good idea with the Slayer change... but even before that, with swings in reputation, you can give Hulk the special abilities "Terror" and "Draw Upon Holy Might." It seems logical to me that he would be able to scare the living crap out of enemies and juice up his strength, constitution, and dexterity all via a special ability.

    This is an AWESOME thread and when I have less to study (med school sucks for baldur's gate) I will elaborate more...

    Black Panther: Human Monk
    Scarlett Witch: Obvious Wild Mage
    Quicksilver: Kensai or Monk with permanent improved haste?
    It would be cool to make Henry Pym switch back and forth from a Gnome (Ant-Man) and Yaga Shura (Giant Man)... lol
    I guess Ant-Man would be better and just make him some kind of summoning druid with lots of insect spells
    Wasp: Halfling Thief
    Vision: Dragon Disciple to use the Breath Weapon and lightning spells
    Hercules: Barbarian with a Club/Mace
    Swordsman.... obvious
    Ms Marvel is toughest


    My all time favorite character, Daredevil, isn't one of the classic Avengers, but he is a perfect Stalker class without a doubt. Have him dual wield maces/clubs for his billy-clubs

    For Ms. Marvel, I'd say some sort of fighter/mage combo.

    It's not something I'd do in BG, but I intended to play some IWD during Easter and now I exactly what kind of team I'm going to make. Brilliant idea <3

    Hulk: monk

    and don't try a "shield only" solution, as that character would be useless. I bet CA used some weapons during hi carrier. Look 'em up!
