Stuck at First Challenge - TOB - Nothing Happens

Hello everyone,

I made my way to ToB and started the first challenge. The challenge starts, I hack and slash people but then when the waves are over, nothing happens. Neither the magical door opens, nor that bhaalspawn guy re-appears and I am stuck. Any ideas?

No mods etc. installed.

    UPDATE: After trying for the fifth time, for no apparent reason as I did everything the same, it worked. Weird.
