The order of these change depending on my mood, and some may be replaced, but here is the current list:

Disarmonia Mundi, Soilwork, Breaking Benjamin.

Don't really have a top 3 so much as a genre but would probably be if I could narrow it down in no particular order...

Deep Purple(and related), Uriah Heep and Gift(maybe)

Ok so I kindof cheated a bit there(sorry)

It depends on my mood and the period of the year, but my all time favourites are The Smiths and the beatles (I'm not really original, am I :)? ).
At the moment I could add The Veils and/or The Libertines

    Wintersun, Hammerfall, Rhapsody of Fire

Edit: It was not fair omitting Linkin Park.

This is really hard but I guess it's something like Pixies, The Moldy Peaches and Pavement.

This is rather hard to say for me, as my musical taste is diverse and I'm always listening to new things. I can't really narrow it down to three, not even at any given time.

In no particular order, probably Queen, Rammstein, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Metallica, the Dire Straits, System of a Dawn, and the Pillows not far behind though. Selecting only three bands is hard... :(

Excellent choices! "Getting away with Murder" by Papa Roach, "Numb" by Linkin Park, and "Wait and Bleed", "My Plague" are some of my favourites.

My musical tastes usually change quite a bit but I guess I'll use mine for right now.
Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails and maybe either The Cure or The Birthday Party/Nick Cave

Eisbrecher and Zeromancer also come up

Rammstein, Einstürzende Neubauten and KMFDM. Too bad it's not a top five list so I could fit in the rest of my favorite bands: Die Krupps and Laibach.
