    Korgan
    Dorn
    Viconia

I think that'd be a pretty powergamey party... pretty much all specialists too. But I dunno, I've never played evil myself.

This is my very first time playing as evil and I think it will be hilarious! Thank you for the character suggestions, I will use it.

If you care to make all characters yourself ,

    1 Inquisitor ( RP , as a caretaker , or a keeper )
    5 Archers ( generic , devils ( chaotic evils ) ).

It goes...And goes... ( confirmed going to end in BG1:EE , without the alignments that particular )

Thats OP for BG 1, but not for BG 2, where missile classes are weaker than casters and melee fighters.

Well , that should be fun , if for a replay then ?

I mean kens/mage,kens/mage... gets over the top , after a time...

I'm thinking about golems , ... They might prove a problem... And about the liches , ... I don't think they both have normal and magical protection at the same time , HOW EVER , other than mantles... Inquisitor is that's why... Dispels...

So I think it would be good challenge... Alas boring only if to prove a point :( Because it seems doable...

That Inquisitor can be changed to a Sorcerer may be , also... But that would make it debalanced , may be ? No melee when 5 bows are around , so , no interceptions with melee , other than summons , will be left.

Sorry for necroing old thread, but since I don't like littering forums with redundant threads and since my question is quite on topic, In decided to write it here.

So, the question... I currently have a plan for just another full BG saga playthorugh, this time with custom 6 member party (I played with NPCs so many times I don't want to do that again...). And after a time of thinking I ended up with party of Half-orc berserker, Human fighter ( to be dualclassed to cleric in BG2), Human swashbuckler (dualclassed to fighter in BG2), archer, sorcerer and skald. Now, as you can see, there is one drawback to this party... NO divine caster (archer does NOT count).

And so I want your opinion... is it posible to succesfuly go through BG:EE without single diviner on another then the easiest difficulty?

I almost answered like this was created this week :)
Well anyway I don't think there's such thing as the best party composition. Just different.

@Demonic You can definitely do it without a divine caster. Just remember to stock up on healing potions.

Ok, thanks for the info. I am by no means BG noob, I have completed in many times, but always with at least one divine caster on my party, so I wanted to make sure it's doable :)

Just about anything is doable. I find having a cleric along simply saves time and inventory management in healing.... though if you like a challenge or don't mind the potion collection you'll need to keep there's no reason you can't get through without a priest.

I don't mind. This is my first group I created with actual storylines behind them and the cleric simply doesn't fit all too much well to the group in the beginning. That of course changes in BG2 after being imprisoned by Irenicus, where one of the characters will be able to pull through his torture only thanks to his strong faith, which will eventually lead to him dual classing to cleric.

You will want a lot of healing potions in any event; casting cures during combat is just too slow. You can get by without a cleric, or even a druid (which I assume you include in the term spirit caster) in BG1. In BG2 druids get pretty powerful; no idea why you would want to be without one.

Only BG1 will be played without diviner. Druid's might be powerfull in BG2, but I'm not looking for powergame group, I've build the group with story behind ;)
