first SCS playthrough - which difficulty?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hey guys,

I will begin my first playthrough with the SCS mod soon. Which ingame difficulty should I use? I always used "insane" without the mod but I am unsure if this is still the way to go with the SCS mod installed. Any advice?

    Probably Normal or Core, just to soften things up a teensy bit. Depending on your install options, SCS can be a massive jump in difficulty, since most of the improvements come in the form of AI tweaks rather than adding to the enemy's stats or powers, and it forces you to think a little harder.

    It won't make too much difference, though. Usually the outcome of a battle is determined more by saving throws than pure damage.
