Hello,
I have the android version of the game. InYaga-Shura's Lair first floor there is a machine that you activate with 4 rune stones collected from the same floor to access the second floor of the lair.
The magical barrier still persists after I use it with 4 stones and confirmation text saying the barrier is off.

It might be something like a timing issue (e.g. clicking the stairs before the de-activation process completes). If you are able to copy your save game here we can have a look. Android saves can be found in Android > Data > Com.beamdog.BaldursGateIIEnhancedEdition > files > save > (and we'd need a subfolder from there. I use the ES File Explorer app for this.
