I submitted a request with this same question but it was closed without an answer so I'll ask it here.

I'm starting a YouTube Let's Play channel and I was asking permission to play BGEE, BG2EE, and IWDEE. I understand that some companies have policies on this subject and I would like to get permission first before I start dedicating time to these games.

    there have been a few people playing through them and I haven't heard anything about them being smacked down.

    should be ok as long as you're willing to take the videos down if someone in charge wakes up on the wrong side of the mansion

    I'm just trying to respect the guys who put the game together since it is their game.

    Also, I am not given the impression that they live in mansions.

    Heh, I was mostly just implying that (I think) everyone here likes the idea, but the people who own the companies who own the licenses might one day take exception.
