    My take on the original Bob Kane Batman would be Lawful evil. He was the original Anti-hero and thought nothing of breaking knee caps, crippling or even leaving baddies to die. He was a lot more about vengeance than about justice.

    More recent version follow the entire gambit of alignments in my view.

    "Chaotic": loner, doesn't follow the rules. Yup.

    "Lawful": Believes in order and fights against lawlessness/chaos. Yup

    "Good": Just take a look at Adam West's Batman. Nuff said. Yup.

    "Neutral": Definitely not on the side of the angels. Is ready and willing to fight the entire Justice League for his beliefs. Yup.

    That's the great thing about a character who has had so many hands in his evolution.
