what's the equivalent of the old non-ee "Cache" file?

BG2 EE is being very herky-jerky for me at the moment, incredibly slow framerate. Back in the old pre-EE days you solved this by deleting the cache. What's the equivalent of doing that now?

    Hi, there is no cache.

The troubleshooting section has information around this sort of behaviour with specific graphics cards or drivers for them. http://forums.beamdog.com/categories/troubleshooting

Some more information may help, e.g. does it happen everywhere or at certain parts of the game. What graphics card and graphics driver version number do you have. If it used to run OK have you updated Operating System etc. What version, renderer and vendor show in the game ini file, e.g. as below.

    'Graphics', 'version', '4.0.0 - Build 10.18.10.4252 - build XXXX',
    'Graphics', 'renderer', 'Intel(R) HD Graphics',
    'Graphics', 'vendor', 'Intel'
