Sound Card Drivers

Does version 2 accidentally uninstall sound card drivers? I updated to version 2 on Sunday and I played the game a bit without problems. I boot up Monday and all of a sudden my sound card drivers are gone.

    No problems like this here... If this was on windows 10 I would check for a failed windows update.

    No Windows 8.1. Seems like I've had bad luck with Creative sound cards and beta testing the EE games.

    There's no way that I'm aware of that Steam or Beamdog could *uninstall* drivers without your intervention. We certainly don't have it set up to do that.

    Is it possible you installed openAL Soft? That's a work around we provide for folks with X-Fi drivers which aren't fully OpenAL compatible. Since we dropped the dll in the game directory, that probably needs to be re-installed for the beta.
