  Having a party member imprisoned (spell) or turned to stone will interupt romance, since he/she is technically dismissed, and so I think the question to your answer, unfortunately is yes. I'm not sure, however,

  I think I remember reading somewhere that Jaheira will let you kick her out once

  You can only complete the romance if you kicked her out before the first "love talk" happened. So if you start the romance then kick her out, it's over.

  She explicitly warns 'things will not be the same' if you kick her out in her 'are you sure you want me to leave?' dialogue. So yeah, if you kick her out once after the lovetalks have started, romance is finished. Her other harper quests may still continue, though.
