Gantolandan's house bug?

I don't know if this has been mentioned before or if it even existed in the original, but if you loot the items and steal rogue stone from Gantolandan's home in the city, before taking on a second part of Narlen Darkwalk's quest, the entire house, items, books and rogue stone is reset like i was never there in the first place upon taking on that quest to steal the stone for Narlen.

    Cool, i guess. Two rogue stones. Yes, sounds like a bug to me. Maybe, however, more like an anti-bug. If the house wasn't reset it might be too easy to not be able to complete that quest. That would create a lot more grumbling than the continuity error you encountered.
