Jaheira world conversation with party members have no sound

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
There is no voice sound when Jaheira is talking with other party members in siege of dragonspear. Is this intended?

    Yeah, no, that's no bug, they weren't able to hunt down her original VO and couldn't find a suitable replacement either, so she doesn't get any new voice lines.

    I kind of wish they'd gone for Courtenay Taylor. She's still active, according to IMDB, and her Juhani voice sounds so much like Jaheira that I would've sworn she voiced both characters until I looked it up.

    Of course, for all I know they tried to get her, and it's probably a bit late now.

    A shame, a shame. I have to say her original voice actor has a very distinct voice over, the same goes for all the others actually.

    I really hated minsc vo in sod, omg he repeatedly says the same line when stealthed and that line being annoying when repeated so frequently drove me crazy most the time..

    Beamdog actually recorded some of Jaheira's dialog with a new actress, but decided to leave the VO out of the release. However, the wav files are included in the game. I've created a mod that "restores" Jaheira's voiced lines.

    It's likely too different for some, but you may want to check it out (there's a sample YouTube video).

    Its too different indeed. I feel its not so much the sound of the voice but the manner of speech.

    I've made a request on Redmine for them to re-introduce a voice for Jaheira, by any means necessary, within reason :)
