gallor's plot achievement bugged?

in General Discussion (Spoiler Warning!)
for the life of me, I cannot get this achievement to unlock, no matter which way I do this quest, it never unlocks, has anyone else had this problem?

    afaik his script always breaks if you enter the cave too fast. normally he's supposed to go berserk at the same time the doomsayer chats with you. I only got it to work a few times in a couple dozens playthroughs.

    hmm weird, I did a couple of runs where he went berserk with the doomsayer and I still didn't get it, then I also did it where I killed the doomsayer and then talked to gallor afterwards where he gives me 900 gold for the idol

    This achievement can be buggy. Last night, I didn't get it on the first try because the Doomsayer made Gallor go berserk before I could talk to him. I reloaded & had the character with Boots of Speed race to Gallor immediately as my party left the cave. Talking to Gallor before the Doomsayer's effect took hold was sufficient for the achievement to pop.
