Changing quest rewards

CharriuCharriu Member Posts: 22
I've never modded anything in Baldur's Gate before, so this might be somewhat challenging.
I wanted to change some quest rewards. I've already looked into the file formats http://gibberlings3.net/iesdp/file_formats/index.htm , but I couldn't figure out which files are responsible for that. So my questions are:

1. Where is the data concerning quests located?
2. More specifically where would I find the rewards for these quests?
3. General tips for doing that?

Quest rewards are (in most cases) not collectively stored in a separate file. They are simply script actions located in individual script or dialog files. There is also no standard method how quest rewards are realized. Each one is more or less unique.

There is file (XPLIST.2DA) which would be perfectly suited for storing (XP-related) quest rewards, but for some reason it is only used for a small number of quests.

There are tweak mods (such as EET Tweaks) that can change quest rewards globally.

Thanks, I was thinking about adjusting the rewards for "evil" quest resolutions and therefore a global percentage based approach would not be the right way.

There is a component that does something to evil quests in atweaks I believe : http://www.shsforums.net/topic/38261-atweaks-v450-released/#entry585233

You could take a look at how it's done if you're interested.
