There are actually quite a lot of swords with a +2 or greater enchantment. On top of this "sword" could apply to any number of weapon types. Could you be more specific as to which type of sword you are seeking? There is katana, scimitar/wakizashi/ninjato, longsword, short sword, bastard sword, two-handed sword... which one do you need?

If you are looking for a two-handed sword to kill Dragomir with, then try solving the riddle in the sewers under the copper coronet. That will get you a nice +3 sword.

As @Tresset said, Lilacor is a great option for a two-handed sword. If you're looking for a long sword, two might work well for you.

The Blade of Roses is a sword that can be purchased from the Copper Coronet after completing a certain quest there. I'll try not to spoil it outright, but it involves putting an end to some... unsavory forms of entertainment found in the back of the inn. Saying the right things to Lehtinan, the owner, should put you on track for finishing that. As for the blade itself, it's only special effect is that it offers +2 to charisma, but it is a +3 weapon, capable of striking more powerful enemies; a rare thing this early in the game.

Another long sword option is Adjatha the Drinker. It's a +2 weapon (so not capable of hitting as many enemies as the Blade of Roses), but it heals you for 1 point each time you hit an enemy and grants protection from charm and confusion. Getting this weapon is a bit more involved though. Go to the Five Flagons inn located in the Bridge district. Go into the basement and watch the play. Follow the questline associated with the theater troupe and you'll find the sword on the body of the final boss in the quest. A word of advice: make sure you have mages/clerics who can either strip spell and combat protections, or lock down spellcasters (Insect Plague in the Druid spell book is good for the latter). There are some mage enemies encountered during that quest that can prove to be problematic otherwise.

You also have access to at least one +2 sword in the prologue in Jon's dungeon (if you're playing BG2EE then, depending on your character class, you may get another +2 sword as well).

It's based on proficiencies rather than class though.

Another very good sword you may get in chapter two is Namarra +2, which deals 1d8+4 damage and is available after a not-so-hard fight north-west of the graveyard district.
