A caution: Microsoft has shifted Windows 10 to ‘Recommended’ update, automatic download

I actually understand Microsoft to an extent: while I hold tightly unto my Windows 7 physical disc, I understand that MS does not want to maintain several versions of its OS.

I am not entirely happy that MS made my experience of Win 8.1 so bad that Win 10 seemed like "a cool breeze on a hot day."

(I am playfully quoting a Dragon Age Inquisition char here, sice I dislike DA:I as a committed M&KB gamer)

However: I installed my Win 10 using the privacy recommendations, including disabling using my LAN as peer network to push out future Win10 updates.

    I am fine with that.

I am just surprised Microsoft gets this much flack when the so called "Snoopers charter" passed in the UK, allowing a huge number of agencies to access one year worth of internet search of any resident. Including food security agency and NHS. (!!!)

In fact, I never knew UK in principle bans gay sex acts and threesomes from their accepted "normporn," before comedy show treatment of the Snoopers charter. UK agenices should in principle block access to non-norm sites from UK, if the provider will not desistt from showing these "noncore" sex acts. (Such as gays or threesomes etc etc etc)

The enforcers acting to the letter of norm-porn is what would be needed to bring the Snoopers charter down, I fear. Unlikely, but sad, too somehow.
