SCS and SoD

Hi. Are there currently any plans/development of an SoD-compatible version of SCS? I am currently playing through BG:EE on the new Insane-mode, and it is nowhere the glory of SCS. Mages fall to mindless auto-attacking nearly as easily as in normal core BG due to the lack of prebuffing.

    I don't understand why people keep saying SCS doesn't work with SoD.

    Is it safe to install it on top of the following install during a non-new game? My current BG:EE playthrough is really hampered by lack of SCS-goodness!

    I don't install/uninstall/change mods in the middle of a game... but maybe I'm too conservative?

    You could make a copy of your entire game folder, install SCS on the original, and see if anything is broken. If it isn't working right, delete the game folder, move the backup copy over to the original location, and play from a savegame made before you installed SCS.

    I have never installed mods on top of my ~90 modded installs before, but I've never not played with SCS before either, and I'm really missing it :/

    Hrrrrrrrrmmm. Would making a copy even work? If so, then yeah, it's definetely something I could do.

    I copied the entire BGEE folder in order to test the mod I'm working on, "Planetouched Races". So, yes, it works. You just would need to launch BGEE from the baldur.exe INSIDE the copied BGEE folder.

    Everything works perfectly, at least in BG1 :)

    Items were even corrected in my inventory etc.

    I was using BGEE with SCS (thanks to the fix by @subtledoctor) until recently. After installing SoD, I am experiencing this funny issue with with various in-game text/dialogue added by SCS (I suppose something's messed up dialog.tlk).

    Example 1:
    Instead of showing SCS pre-buffs, there is dagger of troll-fighting...


    Example 2:
    Enemies drininking potions can be hilarious as well ...


    Fun as it may be, I would like to enjoy the game normally. I have tried a complete clean re-install (BGEE + SoD + SCS with the fix) and the issue remains the same. I do not have any other mods installed besides SCS.

    Have any of you experienced similar issues with SoD? Might you share any advice on how to potentially fix this?

    @Borco, are you playing with the GOG or Steam versions by chance? If so, did you use modmerge before installing SCS?

    I'm using GOG versions of both BGEE and SoD and no, I did not. I'll give it a try!
