[Question] Attribute/ability score/stat growth?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Do ability scores, such as Str or Int, ever increase with levelling? Or only through quest/story events and the deck?

    Hi @wolfdwarf. Leveling up has no impact on ability scores, I'm afraid. Permanent change in ability scores can only happen by using items or by progressing the story, as you wrote.

    Thought so... was stuck in ... newer DnD rules. along with a good serving of wish fulfillment.
