Problem with Greater werewolf fight...

In one of my games I went to the top of the ship for the fight against the werewolf boss. When I got there, after the dialog, I ran all the way out out of ship and then fought the werewolves there. I didn't see Karoug or Daese come out, just other werewolves.

I killed them all and went back in and the top room was empty of NPCs. I can't find Marlee's child or the logbook, but I got the sword and butter-knife and spellbook.

Kaishas Gan says I haven't yet killed all the werewolves.

Also I saved my game right AFTER I finished the battle outside the ship and the only other save I have of this game is from about 20 days prior to this event...

Any ideas??
